Carnival Vista is the newest and most advanced cruise ship built for Carnival Cruise Lines. The ship which is built by Fincantieri in Italy has some groundbreaking features including the first ever SkyRide at sea and the one and only IMAX Theater. Those features will be among passenger favorites onboard the 133,500 gross ton vessel.
Cruise Hive looks at some of the best parts of the ship which we think you’re going to love. Let’s take a look:
Carnival Multiplex
At the Carnival Multiplex guests will be able to enjoy two different cinematic experiences. The first-ever IMAX theater at sea will be onboard, guests can enjoy the latest blockbuster movies just like on land. Even though passengers will have to pay to watch an IMAX movie, it can be viewed on a screen which is 3-decks high! A movie wouldn’t be the same without popcorn and snacks which can be ordered before entering the theater. The Carnival Multiplex will also feature a Thrill Theater, first introduced on Carnival Breeze the Thrill theater will be a full 3D experience. Guests can watch special effects and experience seats that move with the action.
SkyRide
Another first at sea for Carnival Vista is the mind-blowing SkyRide which is located at the Sportsquare. Guests can race against each other on an 800-foot-long track that suspends at the top of the ship. Passengers can pedal up to 25 miles an hour or just take it easy while taking in the breathtaking ocean views at 130 feet above the sea. The SkyRide was invented in Waconia, Minnesota, watch a behind the scenes video.
Havana Bar & Pool
If Carnival Cruise Line sent a cruise ship to Cuba then the Carnival Vista would be a perfect choice. The Havana Bar is a Cuban inspired lounge which also extends to the outdoors. The large lounge located at the aft of the ship will transform into a Latin dance venue at night and if guests want a break from the dancing they can head on outside where there is a pool, whirlpools, faux palm trees and relaxing lounge chairs. Only guests staying in the new Havana stateroom or suites are able to use the pool during the day.
SeaFood Shack
A new dining venue called the SeaFood Shack is on Carnival Vista. SeaFood Shack is New-England-style seaside spot where guests can tuck into some fine seafood favorites while enjoying an ocean view. Located on the open deck the new venue will offer lunch and dinner. SeaFood Shack will be a la carte starting from $4.
RedFrog Pub & Brewery
The RedFrog Pub which was first introduced on Carnival Magic is becoming a huge hit on the latest cruise ships from Carnival Cruise Line. Carnival Vista will be taking the RedFrog Pub one step further with its very own brewery! It will be the first brewery at sea in North America and guests will be able to enjoy exclusive drafts which are only available onboard Carnival Vista.
In partnership with Concrete Beach Brewing, RedFrog Pub will be debuting three new brews which are ThirstyFrog Port Hoppin’ IPA, ThirstyFrog Caribbean Wheat, and FriskyFrog Java Stout. We can’t wait to try them!
