Find out about all the things to do on the Carnival Glory cruise ship which is operated by Carnival Cruise Line. Covering specs and venues too!

The Conquest-class cruise ship Carnival Glory was first floated out in 2003, with its iconic nightclubs, pools, water slides and shopping options, but the ship most recently got some upgrades in 2012, when Carnival updated the ship to its Fun Ship 2.0 standard (adding the Guy’s Burger Joint eatery, along with some other new eateries and bars), and then later in 2017.

The ship, with its just over a thousand-member crew, can host up to 3,750 guests, but normal capacity settles around 3,000.

If you’ve been considering taking a Carnival Glory cruise this year, here’s everything you need to add to your itinerary, to have the best time possible.

1. Staterooms

Before you even set sail, you have to pick the best cabin for you, as this is what can make or break your cruise. After all, you want to make sure that you have all the space you need to enjoy a relaxing time away from all your worries and cares.

The Carnival Glory cabins are some of the largest that you’ll find in the industry and quite a few of them come with their own balconies. If you get an exterior cabin, you’ll have more than 200 square feet of space, along with a seating area in addition to your bed.

  • Total Number of Suites: 54
  • Total Number of Staterooms: 1,436

There are also family-centric cabins that are located near the children’s center and outfitted with a tub (because if you’re a traveling parent who’s ever tried to hose off a toddler in a shower, you know what a pain that can be).

There are, of course, larger luxury cabins that have balconies, more space and extra perks. The cabin you choose all depends on your travel needs and your price range.

2. Packages

Okay, so you’ve picked out the perfect cabin, made it onboard and now you’re ready to start enjoying an awesome sailing adventure. What else do you need to make this trip a memorable one?

Start by downloading the Carnival Cruise Line Hub app. It’s the most popular app in the cruising industry, with 5.1 million downloads, and it helps you make the most of your time aboard the ship.

You can manage your booking, purchase shore excursions, schedule spa treatments, reserve dinner, manage your WiFi package and get items delivered to your stateroom, all from your smartphone.

Plus, the latest feature is a Pizza Anywhere function, that allows you to literally order a pizza anywhere you are on the ship, at any time. It’s pizza on demand!

3. Carnival Glory Casual Dining Options

If you’re hungry and want to grab a bite to eat on the go, the Carnival Glory has plenty of casual dining options to fulfill whatever craving you might happen to have at any given moment.

There’s the newer Guy’s Burger Joint, which has become a real hit aboard all Carnival cruise ships, serving up some of the best burgers at sea, all from your fav television chef, Guy Fieri.

If that’s the case, you’ve gotta stop by Swirls, for an ice cream cone of your choosing, or some frozen yogurt. It’s the perfect thing for a sunny day at sea.

Is your weakness more of the coffee variety than sugary treats? Then stop by the Coffee Bar for premium coffee drinks and pastries to go.

6. Carnival Glory Gym

Now with all that dining you might want to check out the Carnival Glory gym, to ensure you don’t put on any extra pounds while you’re at sea for a week. Good for you, the fitness center is pretty awesome.

It’s 15,000 square feet filled with state-of-the-art fitness equipment, all with amazing views of the ocean. They’ve arranged the equipment to face the floor-to-ceiling windows, so you’ve always got a great seat in the house, regardless of if you’re rowing, riding a stationary bike, getting in a few miles on the treadmill or just enjoying some free weights.

7. Adults-Only Serenity

So you’re on a family cruise. While it’s definitely fun to hang with the fam, you could use some alone time, right? There’s nothing wrong with that! Just get away for a few hours at the adults-only Serenity section of the ship.
