It’s now been confirmed that the Grand Celebration is to become part of the newly-formed Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line and will begin cruising in 2015.
The ship which was previously known as Celebration for Carnival Cruise Lines and the Costa Celebration for Costa Cruises was at the center of the rumor that the vessel was to be sold to Bahamas paradise Cruise Lines and now this rumor is true.
The Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line was previously known as Celebration Cruise Line that operated cruises from the Bahamas to Florida. The cruise line stopped functioning ever since it’s the only vessel at the time Bahamas Celebration hit an object underwater near Freeport Bahamas. As a result, the ship was out of action and needed to be repaired.
Grand Celebration will sail from West Palm Beach, Florida to Grand Bahama Island. The new cruise line is offering a 2-night Bahamas cruise and a 4 to 6 night Bahamas Cruise & Bahamas Resort Stay. For the two-night voyage, prices start from $149 and go all the way up to $499.
The Grand Celebration will begin cruising from West Palm Beach on February 1st, 2015. The ship is 47,300 gross tons and can carry 1,900 passengers along with 670 crew members.
