Norwegian Escape Wins Best Hull Artwork In The Cruise Ship Awards

Cruise Hive is pleased to announce that Norwegian Escape has won Best Cruise Ship Hull Artwork in the very first 2015 Cruise Ship Awards.

Norwegian Escape was up against 4 other cruise ships including P&O Britannia, Aidastella, Norwegian Getaway and Norwegian Breakaway. Voting for the Best Cruise Ship Hull Artwork began in early September 2015 and was the first of many voting categories in the first ever Cruise Ship Awards.

With thousands of votes over the past few months the Norwegian Escape came out on top with sister ship Norwegian Breakaway in second. P&O Cruises, P&O Britannia came in third place and was just a few votes away from becoming second.

Norwegian Escape is one of the newest and largest ships to be delivered in 2015 and the vessels hull artwork was designed by famed marine wildlife artist Guy Harvey. The custom designed artwork spans 1,000 feet in length from bow to stern. The underwater wildlife blends with the ocean perfectly which features sting rays, sea turtles, whale sharks and a variety of tropical fish. The design is sophisticated using laser technology and painted by hand.

The ship recently began Caribbean cruises from Miami, Florida in November and is 164,600 gross tons, carrying 4,200 guests. The Cruise Ship Awards has been ongoing since early September 2015, new categories have been added every two weeks for Cruise Hive readers to vote in.
